After going through the typical motions of starting with his bare-ass record label, Redding finally managed to garner mainstream success when he released the chart-topper “Ive Been lovable You Too Long” in 1965. It wasnt until 1967 that he would start receiving air-time on the radio when he released the song “Respect” which made its ingress on his album Otis Blue. Redding would have never imagined the feign of this song on the black community as a whole.
It became a driving force among the black consensus and would have its headstrong place in black history. Shortly after, he went on the Stax/Volt Revue tour of Europe and played with the likes of surface-to-air missile and Dave, Eddie Floyd, Arthur Conley, The Mar-Keys, Booker-T, and the M.G.s. He soon gained recognition amongst a white demographic and was affiliated with groups such as The Who and The Beatles. Sadly, Reddings story came to an end when he and fellow band members were flying in his plane and crashed during a storm in Wisconsin. At only 26 old age old and only in the apex of his career, Redding was killed. As a result of his death, Stax soon lost its connection with Atlantic and power saw many artists leave the label because of Reddings death. If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
