Anxiety describes a souls natural chemical reaction when faced with stress, danger or threat. When someone becomes anxious they will generally feel uncomfortable, apprehensive and tense and their response can significantly range in intensity. Anxiety can appear in three ways. An anxiety disorder is usually diagnosed when these states, behaviours and physical responses are dark and so extreme that they significantly interfere with a persons daily life. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is far less common than GAD and is characterised by more than extreme symptoms of intrusive, recurrent thoughts along with a set of repetitive behaviours or rituals aimed at decreasing the provocation caused by these obsessive thoughts.
