Since an early age I have known that if whiz everyows for it, life will bring several(a) experiences, opportunities, and people. It is up to ones self-importance to take advantage of this diversity and prosper from it. In my family, my school, and my friendships I have been exposed to people of varied backgrounds and am so lucky to benefit from it all. Thanks to my experiences, I would be richly prep ared to study and live at Rutgers University, and contribute to its community.
My parents are Colombian immigrants who moved to the United States to further their educations. My mother has a doctorate in Biology, and my father has a master of learning degree in Computer Science. My parents were sufficient to instill in me their love for noesis, and taught me how to think pragmatically and critically. I was also heaven-sent enough to be raised bilingually, and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I put my Spanish mouth skills to the test when I visit Colombia and Spain where I am able to interact with everyone quite well. On my many stays in Colombia I have been able to learn closely Colombian culture, and cherish it very much so. I have versed of Colombian cuisine, dance, history, and tradition over the years, and it has opened my eyes to the differences and similarities amongst cultures.




My education also helped in shaping my life. A house physician of Clifton, New Jersey since the age of three, I attended Clifton customary Schools for grades one through twelve. The school system in Clifton has students from all dissimilar backgrounds, cultures, and countries. I am used to working and interacting with different people, and I am capable of conceding when others do not agree. At Rutgers University, I would feel at home with the diverse population that exists there; my diverse high school has about 3,800 students.
