Setting:
Pleasant Street, briny Street and during a summer day.
Not much explained around the townsfolk implying that this could happen in any town.
Characters:
Adela Strangeworth-
She is the protagonist of the story.
She is a 61 year old lady who has lived in the town her substantial life
She considers herself to be the princess of this town because her grandfather was the one who got the whole town started by building one of the first houses and a land mill.
She is very kind around large number, this is just a mask so no one will live on the evil deeds she is doing.
When at her house all alone, she writes correspond earns to the people she knows. (they were written on colored paper, in capital letters and a childlike handwriting)
Being the princess of the town, she idea it was up to her to keep the town under control by letting the towns people know of there flaws (even if they werent true).
In outrage when she found out that everybody knew it was her writing those letters and that they had destroyed her lift Garden (LOOK AT WHAT USED TO BE YOUR ROSE GARDEN).
Dave:
He was the one who picked up Ms. Strangeworths letter when it fell unnoticed.
He gave the letter to apply Crane as it was addressed to him.
He was Lindas boyfriend.
Don Crane:
He received the letter that was addressed to him that Dave gave him.
He was telling one who figured out it was Ms. Strangeworth who was writing those suppose letters.
 Supporting Characters are Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Harper, Don Crane, Helen Crane, Linda, Dave, and all of the other shaver characters in town.
Conflict:
The conflict of Shirley Jacksons The possibility of Evil is that the town Ms. Strangeworth lives in seems a bit in depression. We later fetch out the cause for this is Ms. Strangeworth because she is sending hurtful letters to the people who live in the little town. Her letter are ground on gossip the towns people talk about.
